Dancing With the Stars Recaps: “The First of Our Celebrities is Eliminated”

Season 28, Episode 2 “First Elimination”

So once again, this week’s episode started with a funny little prerecorded segment where Ray Lewis was trying to pump everyone up and stated that they were a team. Kate Flannery was quick to correct him by stating that they weren’t a team, that it was a competition. Ray then quickly wished everyone good luck, then left the room looking for his partner Cheryl Burke so they could practice.
There wasn’t much of an opening number, but Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews did explain the new voting rules. Instead of calling, fans would have to text names or vote on ABC.com. Also, they explained that the judges could save couples this season. They also were combining tonight’s scores with last weeks scores. Now, let’s discuss these performances.

Dancing With the Stars Recap: “A New Season Begins”

Season 28, Episode 1 “Season Premiere”

I haven’t done any Dancing With the Stars recaps since season 25, the season with Nikki Bella, Sasha Pieterse, and Lindsey Stirling. Now, I haven’t done any recaps because the past two seasons haven’t had anyone I cared about or I just didn’t have the time. When this new season aired, I was out of the state, which is why this recap of the first episode of the season is so late. Hopefully, my recaps in the future won’t be this late, but I can’t make any promises.
With this season there isn’t anyone in particular that I’m invested in. I mean, I do love Kate Flannery and Karamo Brown, so that’s who I’m rooting for right off the back, but I’m excited to see what this new season brings. I will admit that I was really sad to hear that Artem Chigvintsev and Sharna Burgess were not going to be apart of this season because I really love both of them, but hopefully they’ll be back next season.
Also, just a reminder that I know nothing about dance and these are just my opinions based on what I see and think of the dance. You may watch a performance and pick up on all the technical mistakes, but I can’t, so if I love a dance that is technically horrible, that’s why.
Now, with all of that out of the way, let’s get this recap started.

UPDATE

So, due to things in my personal life getting in the way there will not be a Ladies, What is Going On? post this week. Also, later this week I will be going on vacation so I won’t be posting anything on here for a couple of weeks. I should be back around the 20th or 21st, so my next Ladies, What is Going On? should be posted on the 29th when I cover the week of September 22nd – 28th.
With that said, I’m going to try and get my Favorites for the month of August and a couple more Charmed reviews up before I leave, so be on the lookout for those.
