Season 25, Episode 12 “The Finals, Part 2”

Tonight is the night. The night we crown our Season 25 Mirrorball Champion of Dancing with the Stars. Tonight the performers had to once again perform two routines. The first one was the celebrities having to perform their favorite routine from earlier in the season again and the second dance was a fusion dance of two different dance styles.
The opening number was so fun, and it was so great to see all the competitors again, and I loved that they danced to “Dancing in the Street” again like they did in the premiere. Kelsey Ballerini performed and it was quite enjoyable. I liked the performance Val and Jenna did with footage of the contestants playing on a screen behind Kelsey and the song was really pretty.

Now let’s look at these performances one by one.

Dancing With The Stars Recap: “And Then There Were Three”

Season 25, Episode 11 “The Finals, Part 1”

Tonight was the first night of the finals and Julianne Hough returned to guest judge this episode. The contestants had two dances again this week. The first was a Judges Redemption dance where they had to redo a dance from earlier in the season where their score was low and the second dance was a freestyle.
The opening number was quite quick, but very fast paced and enjoyable. During the show they also had a performance by Pitbull and Fifth Harmony that was okay, but if I’m being honest I didn’t really care that much about it. Julianne Hough did a dance routine inspired and choreographed by Marinda Davis. The routine was stunning and was just heartbreaking, yet beautiful.

Now let’s look at these performances one by one.

Dancing With The Stars Recap: “The Semi Finals Have Arrived”

Season 25, Episode 10 “The Semi-Finals”

Tonight the competitors had to do two dances the first was “Pro’s Choice” where the Pro’s would get to chose the song/concept for the dance and the second dance involved the competitors having to recreate an “Iconic Dance” from the shows history. So, there wasn’t a opening number this week, but there was a troupe performance in between the two dance routines. It was fun and a good preview of what to expect if you’re going to go see the troupe live during their upcoming tour. I felt tonight’s routines left me with a lot of mixed emotions on the episode as a whole. Some were amazing, some were good, and some were okay, but could have been stronger.
Now let’s look at these performances one by one.

Dancing With The Stars Recap: “Some Old Friends Return to Help Out Our Stars”

Before I talk about tonight’s show, I have to quickly talk about how shocked I was last week when both Vanessa and Nikki went home. I was really upset last week when Nikki went home since she was the whole reason I started watching the show and didn’t think it was her time to go, but I don’t control the show or the votes (although I don’t fully believe she didn’t have the votes). Still I’m proud of how far she came and I hope her & Artem are proud of all the work they put into the show. Now on to tonight’s show.
