Book Review: The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher

This book gave me so much insight into Carrie Fisher’s world. Reading about the whole process of getting cast as Leia, filming, promoting the film, and fan encounters was fascinating to read about and of course the parts about Harrison Ford were intriguing to me. I liked how similar yet different Carrie’s perspective, in the past and in present day, was on her relationship with Harrison. Her journals during her affair and filming the first Star Wars were interesting, but sometimes did drag a little bit. Not saying that’s a bad thing, but I actually found the parts in the book written by Carrie, in present time, a lot more interesting then her diary entries.
I wanted to give this a four, but I just couldn’t. I’d actually give it 3.5outof5Stars. This was the first book by Carrie Fisher I’ve ever read, and I really enjoyed it, and I definitely want to read more of her work.
