Why Isn’t There Going to Be a Women’s Elimination Chamber Match?

untitled3

So tonight on Smackdown they started to establish some matches for the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. The chamber match for the WWE Championship was announced and it was hinted at the possibility for the Tag Team division competing in one, but it was also announced that Natalya would be facing Nikki Bella. Now, normally I wouldn’t have a problem with this, but with them making this match, it’s obvious to me that that means we won’t be getting a Women’s Elimination Chamber match like everyone wanted.

The reason I am convinced we are not getting it, is because the match requires six competitors, and with Nikki and Natalya having their own match that takes them out of the match, and that would only leave five women left to compete. The only way this could still happen is if Eva Marie magically came back, but I don’t see that happening, plus it wouldn’t really make sense.

Now, I find this extremely annoying because the WWE let Charlotte and Sasha make history and have the first Women’s Hell in a Cell match, so to me it only made sense since Smackdown was getting the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view for the Women to get their own chamber match. The WWE seems to disagree with that since it isn’t happening. It just feels slightly disrespectful to me because WWE’s creative appeared to have enough faith in Charlotte and Sasha to let them not only compete for the Raw Women’s Championship in a cell match, but also main event. So, why doesn’t their creative team have enough faith in the women of Smackdown to allow them to compete for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in a chamber match?

It just doesn’t make sense to me and it’s very disappointing that Smackdown isn’t allowing their women make history like Raw’s Women have. Especially considering the fact that I personally believe that the Smackdown Women’s Division is stronger than Raw’s and I know they’d do amazing in this type of match. I feel like we might see Naomi vs. Alexa for the title at Elimination Chamber, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
