Apparently this has been sitting in my drafts for quite some time. So, I read this back in June and that’s also when I saw the movie. I absolutely loved this book and the movie was just as good.

This was a beautiful, funny yet heartbreaking story. I adored Lou and Will, even though sometimes he could be an ass. Their relationship was so fun to read. I liked that the story didn’t solely revolve around their relationship and that we got to read about all the other characters, especially Lou’s relationship with her family specifically her sister. The ending hurt….a lot, but that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of this book. I really want to get bumblebee tights now thanks to this book. I know there is a sequel and I’m tempted to read it, but also scared to read it.

When it comes to the movie, they did a brilliant job at adapting the book. It stayed true to the book and made me fall even more in love with Lou. Sure, there were some storylines that were taken out, like the sometimes difficult relationship she has with her sister and the maze story, but I can understand why those were cut from the story. Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin were perfect casting for Lou and Will. I literally couldn’t have picked anyone better than those two to bring them to life.

Overall, loved the book, would recommend it to everyone even though it hurts your heart…a lot.
Would give the book 5outof5Stars

and give the movie 4.5outof5Stars.
